Jivan Co (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates StoryMint at story-mint.web.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use StoryMint.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — email address and display name provided during registration via Firebase Authentication.
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
- Usage data — book generation counts, plan tier, and feature usage stored in Google Firestore.
- Book content — story prompts, generated text, and generated images stored in Firebase Storage.
- Analytics — anonymized usage data collected via Google Analytics to improve the product.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve StoryMint.
- To process subscriptions and payments via Stripe.
- To enforce plan limits and usage quotas.
- To communicate important product or policy updates.
3. Cookies and Tracking
StoryMint uses cookies for authentication sessions and Google Analytics. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics.
5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
StoryMint is a children’s book creation tool, but the service is intended for use by adults (parents, teachers, authors). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at ervinjivan@gmail.com so we can remove it.
6. Data Retention
- Temporary cloud storage — book files are retained for 7 days by default.
- Cloud library — books saved to your library are retained for up to 1 year.
- Generation logs — encrypted logs are retained for 90 days, then deleted.
7. Encryption
Prompts, chat logs, and generation logs are encrypted at rest using Fernet symmetric encryption. We do not store plaintext production logs.
8. Your Rights
- Request a copy of your data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Opt out of analytics tracking by disabling cookies in your browser.
